The first few weeks
are awesome
You're all like
Yayyyyyy
Awwwwww
Eeeeeeee

Then it's like
Uhhhhh
Ummmm
Hmmmmm

Yea... that's how I kinda felt
Up until about a week ago

Now I'm more
on the
Stage 3
feeling
&
level

Whew...
let's hope it continues well ;)

But on that note....

A friend
is at this awesomely terrible feeling

He GChat's me
this afternoon
and says:
So my cousin and I were talking about relationships just now because I’m anxious with ___ and want to bring up the “us” and just see if we’re on the same page, etc.
She told me not to, and just sit back and enjoy the ride
& the hilarious conversation we had after she told me to “enjoy the ride”

me: fine, but for the record, I don't like the ride. the ride is scary. I like to get there as fast as I can then enjoy the destination.maybe i get a couple of speeding tickets along the way, but in the long run, it works out better because I'm saving so much time with every drive I take
her: Nope. If you don't take the time to enjoy the scenery along the way, then you show up wind blown and terrified, like "How did we get here?"
me: but nobody wants to sit in traffic or take the long way around, you just wanna get to where you're going.
me: you don't say I think I'll drive from STL to KC and make a pit stop through Cape and Springfield along the way. No, you haul ass up 70 and you get to KC and get some damn good barbecue and you bask in its glory and enjoy it for as long as you possibly can.
her: Orrrr...you go the long way and stop and see the world largest ketchup bottle and check her reaction to make sure she feels the same way about it that you do
me: aint nobody got time for that
her: Then you will arrive at your destination annoyed with each other for spending too much time driving and not enough time sight seeing
